We had the opportunity this week to be part of a new event called ‘Production Futures’ by the TPi team. Specifically aimed at the youth of today with aspirations of working in the lighting, sound, event and touring industry, Production Futures was hosted at the largest purpose-built production rehearsal studio in Europe ‘Fly By Nite Studios’ in Redditch – A unique venue for unique event!
Fly By Nite Studios is a state-of-the-art, arena sized, purpose-built production rehearsal studio located just south of Birmingham, where some of the biggest artists on the planet make their final preparations before heading out on tour. There could not be a more ideal place to hold such a unique event, which enabled the Prolight team to share their knowledge and experience and of course product information with the next generation of industry specialists.
On display for students and practitioners at the start of their career path was an array of our professional theatre and event production fixtures from our eLumen8 and LEDJ brands, all suspended on portable Global Truss U frames. We felt it was important to show that we offer a broad spectrum of lighting from moving heads to blinders, whilst also introducing them to the Truss solutions which are key to any production.
Some of the products we showcased included the Virtuoso Fresnel and Profile, the ‘Just released’ colour backlight IP Fury Blinders, Kudos 350ZS zoom moving head, CZ 100 Series Stage Par and the IP Spectra QX40 Pixel panel which features Wireless DMX control by W-DMX.
Jeff Davenport, Area Sales Manager of the Prolight Concepts Group Ltd said…““We were amongst some of the leading industry companies present at Production Futures 2019 held at Fly By Nites huge concert Rehearsal Studio. Andrew and I were on hand to field questions about the technology behind the equipment and offer practical advice on how they should be used in an event space or production. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and see the why events like this are key to the future of the industry”
