Once again Joshua returned to the Principality Stadium in Cardiff to win the WBO heavyweight title in addition to his three existing WBA ‘super champion’, IBF and IBO heavyweight titles.
78,000 spectators attended the sell out Joshua Vs Parker fight in anticipation for Joshua to win his fourth world title. This was the second time the eLumen8 LED Tour Batten TWs were specified for a Joshua fight after appearing last November with his fight Vs Takam. This rugged, rental-ready fixture with 10 x 10W tuneable warm white LEDs was the perfect choice to start this momentous battle.
24 of the eLumen8 LED Tour Batten TWs illuminated Joshua as he made his way down the tunnel towards the ring entrance. Not only does this retro halogen style effect offer a substantial 85% power saving, but no dimmer is required along with no costly lamp changes, thanks to its tuneable LEDs with a variable colour temperature between 1600K–2900K, ensuring years of faultless operation. When dimmed, the fixture can emulate a traditional halogen lamp with an orange glow similar to a sunstrip.
Managing Director, Andrew Jeffrey says “This is the second time the eLumen8 Tour Batten TWs (Tuneable White) have appeared at a Joshua fight. The newly designed combination of LEDs with specially designed collimators and specifically written software to emulate the dimming curve and colour temperature shift of a dimmed halogen lamp. This has proven popular in the event and rental markets whilst industry standard chassis dimensions allow the battens to easily fit into flight cases already in circulation for the halogen versions.”
These eLumen8 battens have become a popular fixture since its debut at the stadium last November, not only loved by audiences and hire companies but also by lighting designers.
