Prolight turned heads @ PLASA, London

Well, what an event! PLASA London this year was probably one of the busiest years to date, and after a 2-year break from the show, it was great to back. Prolight certainly turned heads this year with our purpose-built stand, showcasing many new and popular items from our ever-expanding Evora series moving heads to VMB lifters and Lucenti Blackwave IP Pixel bars.

We really enjoyed being able to catchup with existing customers and meet new customers, from the UK and across Europe, who can see how we have developed over the last few years. It’s amazing to think how heavily the dreaded COVID affected the industry, but that many businesses in the sector have come through the other side and are now back better than ever.

General Manager, Bradley Jeffrey said“After a 2-year break from the show it was great to be back. We were able to catchup with new and existing customers and show off where we have come in the past few years. We really drew people into the stand this year, not only with our professional bespoke stand, but with the many new and innovative products that were on show.”

Evora Series – Stars of the show

Our latest Evora additions proved popular, these were front and centre at the show and visitors to the stand could get hands on with them thanks to some clever programming with control being facilitated via 4 StreamDeck control consoles. These powerful, versatile moving heads offer users a multitude of features and are suitable for a wide variety of applications. The CMY300 heads were also used as part of our stand and flown on the overhead rig, unlocking their full potential. For full details on the range see the following links:

In additions to the Evora’s, we also launched our IP rated moving head the Titan Beam T3! This powerful head has been designed with a robust housing for wet, dusty and sandy conditions for festival stages, large concerts and high-capacity venues. The fixture generates an incredibly sharp beam of light that makes it perfect for mid-air effects.

A wide selection of other fixtures from the eLumen8 portfolio including out RGBAL Fresnel and CYC600 covering the stage and theatre sectors, along with the compact 2RE Beam moving head. The eLumen8 Impact IP gobo projectors have been long awaited with many customers wanting to know more about this new range which feature motorised zoom and focus.

Our LEDJ brand also featured at the show, with a variety of exterior Spectra series fixtures from the ever-popular QX40 Pixel panel through our PRO HEX flood and HEX batten.

Lucenti Blackwave series

These IP66 rated Blackwave pixel bars, featured as part of our stand build, really open up a whole host of opportunities for installers and lighting designers. These pixel mappable bars are controllable by Art-Net or sACN and feature a wide 120° viewing angle with a black stealth front cover. The 1m and 0.5m bars are designed to be used in demanding environments such as stages, clubs and on the move with rental companies. Clear, frosted, rounded or square covers are also available to further increase the versatility of these fixtures. The system is configured by using one controller for up to 64 bars arranged in groups of 8 (1m bar) or 16 (0.5m bar). The strips are easy to link via the Blackwave combined power and data cables, and benefit from automatic patching, configuration and bi-directional feedback and monitoring using the revolutionary KLSTR technology.

Give your rental department a lift

We recently started to distribute the VMB range, these professional lifters have been designed with the event and rental industry in mind. We stock telescopic, front loading and line array lifters with a whole host of accessories to further enhance their versatility.

Business Development Manager, Bernie Marsh said “Our stand was well received and very busy over the whole three days, we really enjoyed meeting our customers and making new contacts. The pictures don’t represent the positive atmosphere from visitors who were keen to meet again following such a long break from exhibitions. Despite uncertainty in the general economy, the majority of customers were upbeat and looking forward to a positive quarter to come. We encourage visitors from the show to contact us should you wish to discuss any of the products on display further.”

The following fixture list was also included on our stand, follow the links for full information on these items:
